Wondering how to create a custom signature in Gmail?
In this quick tutorial, I’ll show you exactly how to create an attractive email signature in Gmail.
Why should I create a custom email signature?
A professional signature at the bottom of each email can help you market your business and stand out in a crowded inbox.
It tells the recipient a bit more about you and it’s a great place to put a call to action.
This email signature from Lisa, the product marketing director at Agorapulse, is simple but effective.
It tells you who she is and what she does. Plus, Lisa includes a marketing-specific call to action and provides links.
You can do something similar for your business.
In my signature, I add a personal touch by using a handwritten signature under my name.
Then, I pair it with a few easy ways to get in touch.
Here’s how you can make your own unique signature.
Creating your Gmail Signature
Click on the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner of your inbox and select Settings.
Scroll down until you reach the Signature section and then create your signature.
The short video above will walk you through some of the things you can do with a signature like:
- Add text
- Create headings
- Upload images
When you’re done, just scroll to the bottom and click save. Your signature will look exactly like it does in the box.
Adding the personal touch
Your email signature is another chance to connect with the recipient and build that relationship.
Create a signature that matches who you are!
Until next time,
Have fun storming the castle!
