Facebook makes protecting your privacy a bit confusing.
The Privacy menu gives you control over who sees your posts and who can contact you. But, what about posts you’ve been tagged in?
This is where the Timeline Review comes in! It’s a bit of a pain to find but it gives you more control over your privacy.
To access it, go to Activity Log through the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner.
At the top, you’ll find your Timeline Review.
Now you can see the posts you are tagged in!
You can choose whether to share these posts on your timeline or remove your tag from the posts.
If the post is damaging to your reputation you can ask the tagger to take it down or report it to Facebook.
