Steve looks at the world of digital photography from a few different angles. He starts with two options of digital cameras from Panasonic's Lumix series. The DMC-G1 DSLR for the serious photgrapher and the DMC-FX150, a point and shoot camera with a lot of options. He also shows you some options when it comes to organizing you photos better. Windows Photo Gallery is a free program that comes with every Windows PC and is where most people end up storing their photos, Steve shows you how to add tags to make searching and finding those photos a breeze and also how to publish and share your photos using Windows Live Photo Gallery. Steve also looks at Creative Memories Photo Manager, which a pay for management system that is great for scrapbookers.

On this episode of Dotto Tech, Steve shows off HP’s PhotoSmart Pro B8850 pro-sumer large format printer. The B8850 can print on a multitude of sources including canvas, and on paper as large as 13x19. This printer is perfect for printing display sizes of your favourite digital photos.

Steve also looks a gmail, Google’s answer to Microsoft’s Hotmail. Steve shows us the many productivity tools Gmail has to offer, like shared calendars, documents, even an online word processor.

HP Photography

We have shown digital photography from a lot of different angles on this show, but this week I think we have found a new angle that a lot of our viewers will appreciate. What to do when you buy your first digital camera ... how to get started, how is digital photography different, and how do I get the most out of this new experience. This is the beginner's view of digital photography, but I am sure even some of you seasoned digital photographers out there might catch a few helpful tips.

This week we are going to introduce you to an innovative new training tool provided with new HP cameras. It is called live coach and is exactly that! A live coach! We are going to show you the HP R707 digital camera, it comes with the software needed and a headset with a microphone. The software allows me to connect to a live coach who is there to help me get the most out of my camera. This week we are going to show you an awesome printer, it is HP's 8450, a studio quality 8 ink printer that really represents all the recent advances we have seen in printer technology. This workhorse prints at 4800 dots per inch and gives us stunning results. For the real artists, you can replace the basic black cartridge with a black and white photo cartridge that gives us photo black, grey and light grey. We are also going to run through all the choices of paper out there.
